Position Summary:

The IT Recruiting Specialist acts as the face of Costco GCC in the competitive Hyderabad tech talent market. They are responsible not just for filling roles, but for identifying high-caliber engineering talent to build, modernize, and maintain the systems that power Costco’s global operations. The IT Recruiter manages the full-cycle recruitment of specialized technical roles ensuring every candidate understands the unique "best of both worlds" opportunity offered: the stability of a 40+ year legacy retail giant combined with the high-impact, greenfield environment of a growing tech center.

Job Duties/Essential Functions:

- Full-Cycle Tech Recruitment: Own the end-to-end recruitment process for specialized engineering roles (e.g., Data Engineers, DevOps, Cloud Architects, and Software Engineers)
- Candidate Engagement & Storytelling:



Articulate the Costco GCC value proposition effectively. You will guide candidates through our "Innovation Engine" journey, helping them visualize how the work they do in India will impact millions of Costco members worldwide
- Stakeholder Partnership: Partner directly with Hiring Managers (HMs) in the US and India. You will lead "position download" calls to deeply understand technical requirements, validate candidate profiles, and act as a strategic advisor to streamline hiring decisions
- Pipeline Management: Utilize sourcing channels (aggregators, platforms, and personal networks) to build a robust pipeline of high-quality, passive IT talent
- Talent Pooling: Build and nurture long-term talent pools and communities for recurring technical roles
- Process Excellence: Adhere to the defined recruitment workflow, ensuring all requisitions are tracked in our ATS (1Recruit/iCIMS) and status updates are consistently provided to HMs and TA leadership
- Candidate Experience: Ensure a high-touch, seamless candidate experience, from initial screening and coding assessments to managing the interview panel feedback loops and cultural assessments
- Screening Rubrics & Interview Kits:



Maintain role-specific technical screening rubrics and structured interview kits by domain, within the standards set by TA leadership
- Market Intelligence: Provide real-time market intelligence on tech talent availability, compensation trends and competitor movement to refine sourcing strategy

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- 5+ years of experience in IT recruitment, specifically within a GCC or fast-paced product engineering environment.
- Domain Knowledge: Ability to screen and vet technical profiles across our core domains:
- Data/Big Data: Python, SQL, ETL/ELT, Azure Data Factory/Synapse/Databricks, Kafka
- Cloud & DevOps: CI/CD, Terraform, ARM Templates, Cloud Infrastructure (Azure/GCP/AWS)
- Software Engineering: Java, Spring Boot, MarTech/AdTech experience, and SDLC best practices
- Cultural Alignment: Ability to identify "builders"—candidates who thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and align with Costco’s core values (Integrity, Quality, People-first)
- Data-Driven: Proficiency in managing hiring funnels, tracking metrics (Time to Fill, Quality of Hire), and using data to influence HM decision-making
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate the Costco legacy versus our modern digital transformation agenda to excite top-tier talent
