Key Responsibilities
Diagnostic Responsibilities
- Interpret radiological investigations performed at the IMC.
- Review X-rays and ultrasound examinations.
- Provide diagnostic reports within defined turnaround times (TAT).
- Correlate imaging findings with clinical information where required.
- Identify and immediately communicate critical or life-threatening findings.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive radiology reports.
Clinical Coordination
- Discuss significant findings with referring physicians.
- Support general physicians and specialists in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Advise on additional imaging investigations when clinically necessary.
- Participate in multidisciplinary discussions for complex cases.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to radiology protocols and safety standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Participate in quality audits and reporting accuracy reviews.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Support calibration and quality assurance of radiology equipment in coordination with the technical team.
Radiologist Staffing & Timings The document specifies 2 part-time radiologists at the IMC, off payroll. Radiology services are available only at IMCs and hospitals, not at clinics or medical centers.
