Role Description

Praxis Group is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Bangalore. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, cost control, budget management, and cost reporting for interior fit-out projects.

The role will involve close coordination with the design team, project team, contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure accurate costing, effective budget control, and commercial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Carry out accurate quantity take-offs and measurements for interior fit-out works.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and project cost plans.
- Monitor and control project costs against approved budgets.
- Prepare and maintain cost reports and commercial documentation.
- Review drawings,



specifications, and scope of work to identify quantities and costing requirements.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, project execution, contractors, and vendors for accurate costing.
- Evaluate quotations and assist in vendor and contractor rate comparisons.
- Identify cost variations and support variation / change-order management.
- Assist in preparing rate analysis and evaluating material and labour costs.
- Maintain accurate records of project quantities, costs, and commercial information.
- Support the project team in ensuring projects are delivered within the approved budget.

Qualifications & Skills

- 3–4 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in interior fit-out or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of cost control, cost management, and cost planning.
- Proven ability to prepare detailed BOQs and quantity take-offs.
- Good understanding of interior fit-out materials, specifications, and construction processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant quantity surveying / estimation tools.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Solid analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with designers, contractors, vendors, and project teams.
- Valuable communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- A degree/diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certification in Quantity Surveying is an added advantage.
