Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Chennai.

The Quantity

Surveyor will prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), support cost planning and budgeting, and assist in tender preparation and evaluation. The role involves monitoring project costs, updating cost reports, and contributing to cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.

Surveyor will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure accurate measurements, valuations, and alignment with project specifications and timelines.



The position also includes assisting with contract administration, variations, and final accounts to support efficient and transparent project delivery.

Qualifications

- Solid proficiency in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, and measurement for architectural and engineering projects.
- Demonstrated skills in cost planning and cost management, including budgeting, forecasting, and value engineering.
- Experience in cost control and cost reporting to track project expenditures and support decision-making.
- Good understanding of contracts, tendering processes, and construction industry standards and practices.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
- Proficiency with relevant QS and office software (e.g., MS Excel, QS measurement tools, cost databases).
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Prior experience in building or infrastructure projects in India; exposure to Consultancy Firms is an advantage
