About Our Client Our client is a global connectivity solutions company serving hyperscalers, enterprise customers and data center markets across global geographies. The Bengaluru manufacturing operation focuses on high-performance fiber optic connectivity products, cable assemblies and structured cabling solutions and is scaling its manufacturing capabilities.
- Lead the Quality function across manufacturing operations, covering QMS, process quality, customer quality, supplier quality and testing.
- Establish and continuously improve quality systems, procedures, control plans, PFMEAs, inspection standards and audit readiness.
- Drive process quality across fiber optic connectorization, polishing, testing and assembly operations to improve FPY and reduce defects, scrap and rework.
- Own customer quality management, including customer complaints, escalations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions and customer audits.
- Lead supplier quality activities covering supplier qualification, audits, incoming quality and supplier corrective actions.
- Drive NPI and product qualification activities including FAI, PPAP, validation, pilot builds and production readiness.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Build and develop the quality team while strengthening a data-driven quality culture across the manufacturing operation.
The Successful Applicant The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Quality Engineering or a related discipline, with 10-15 years of Quality experience in manufacturing, including 3-5 years in a Quality Manager or senior quality leadership role. Mandatory experience in fiber optic connectivity, cable assemblies or structured cabling manufacturing is required. The candidate should have solid hands-on exposure to fiber optic connector termination and connectorization, MPO/MTP, LC/SC/ST/FC products, UPC/APC polishing, IL/RL and OTDR testing, fiber harnesses, patch cords and trunk cable assemblies.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, 8D and customer/supplier quality is expected, along with experience managing quality teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Exposure to SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or other ERP/MRP systems would be advantageous.
