Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to ensure that all civil construction activities meet the required quality standards, project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable construction codes. The candidate will be responsible for site inspections, material testing, quality documentation, and coordination with project teams to maintain construction quality.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Conduct quality inspections of ongoing civil construction activities at project sites.
2. Ensure construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
3. Inspect RCC work, reinforcement steel, shuttering, concreting, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing activities.
4. Conduct and monitor concrete slump tests, cube tests, and other relevant material tests.
5. Check the quality of cement, sand, aggregates, steel, concrete, and other construction materials.
6. Ensure proper inspection of reinforcement, cover blocks, formwork, and concrete placement before concreting.
7. Prepare and maintain quality checklists, inspection reports, test reports, and quality records.
8. Identify construction defects and coordinate with site engineers and contractors for corrective actions.
9. Monitor the implementation of quality assurance and quality control procedures at the site.
10. Ensure compliance with applicable IS codes, project specifications, and approved method statements.
11. Coordinate with project managers,



site engineers, contractors, consultants, and testing laboratories.
12. Maintain records of material approvals, test results, site observations, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
13. Conduct regular site quality audits and follow up on pending quality issues.
14. Ensure construction activities are carried out using approved materials and methods.
15. Monitor waterproofing, plumbing-related civil works, and finishing quality wherever applicable.
16. Report quality issues and inspection findings to the Project Manager or reporting authority.
17. Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented to avoid repeated quality issues.
18. Support project teams in maintaining quality standards throughout the construction process.

Required Skills
- Knowledge of civil construction and QA/QC procedures.
- Experience in RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, masonry, plastering, and finishing inspections.
- Knowledge of concrete and construction material testing.
- Understanding of IS codes, approved drawings, and technical specifications.
- Experience in quality documentation, checklists, and inspection reports.
- Knowledge of defect identification, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Positive coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and AutoCAD is preferred.

Educational Qualification
- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in residential, commercial, or high-rise building construction.
- Experience in site-level quality inspection and construction quality documentation.
- Ability to coordinate with civil site teams and contractors.
