Role : Quality Engineer - CNC/VMC Machined Automotive Components

Job Summary

We are looking for a Quality Engineer with hands-on experience in CNC Turning, VMC machining, and automotive/precision component manufacturing . The candidate will be responsible for maintaining dimensional and process quality of machined automobile components through shop-floor inspection and process control.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspection of CNC/VMC machined components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T; .
- Inspect dimensions such as OD/ID, length, holes, threads, runout, concentricity, flatness, and surface finish.
- Use Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, Dial Gauge, Plug/Ring Gauges , etc.
- Monitor machining quality, tool wear, dimensional variation, burrs,



and process deviations.
- Identify and control rejection, rework, and non-conforming components.
- Conduct 5 Why, Fishbone, 8D and CAPA for quality issues.
- Maintain inspection reports, rejection records, calibration records, and other quality documentation.
- Coordinate closely with CNC/VMC operators, setters, and production teams to resolve quality issues.
- Support PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, and IATF 16949 requirements.

Required Skills

- Strong practical knowledge of CNC Turning & VMC machining quality .
- Valuable knowledge of GD&T;, engineering drawings, machining tolerances, and precision measurement .
- Experience in automotive components / auto ancillary / precision machined parts is preferred.
- Hands-on shop-floor quality inspection experience is essential.

Important: This is a Manufacturing Quality / CNC-VMC Machining position, NOT Software QA / Software Testing .
