Urmil Technofab Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented and technically sound Quality Inspector to join our team in Ajmer, Rajasthan.
The role will involve quality inspection across our Foundry and Mechanical Fabrication operations, ensuring that incoming materials, in-process components and finished products meet the required drawings, specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform visual, dimensional and in-process inspections of castings, fabricated components and assemblies.
Inspect cast components for common casting defects and ensure compliance with specified requirements.
Conduct inspection of fabrication and welding activities, including weld quality and workmanship.
Interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances and specifications.
Carry out dimensional inspection using instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Measuring Tape and other inspection tools.
Perform incoming, in-process and final inspection as required.
Identify, document and communicate quality deviations / non-conformities.
Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records and NCR documentation.
Coordinate with Production, Foundry and Fabrication teams to resolve quality issues.
Support root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
Ensure inspection activities are carried out according to approved drawings,
specifications and internal quality procedures.
Contribute towards continuous improvement and reduction of rejection/rework.
Candidate Profile
Diploma / ITI / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
Experience in Foundry, Fabrication, Manufacturing Quality or similar industrial environments will be preferred.
Good understanding of engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.
Practical knowledge of measuring and inspection instruments.
Knowledge of casting, welding and fabrication processes.
Ability to identify defects and communicate quality issues effectively.
Valuable documentation and reporting skills.
Strong attention to detail and a practical shop-floor approach.
