Role Description The Purchase Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division and is responsible for overseeing the entire procurement function. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating pricing and contracts, and ensuring timely procurement of materials, components, and services required for control panel manufacturing and automation projects. The role involves monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with production, engineering, and project teams, and maintaining accurate purchase records and documentation.

Manager will also develop purchasing policies, ensure compliance with company standards, track cost savings, and continuously improve vendor performance and supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications

- Strong procurement and supply chain skills, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Experience in purchase planning, inventory control, and material management within manufacturing or engineering environments.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, design, engineering, and project management.
- Proficiency in using ERP or procurement software, MS Excel, and other relevant digital tools.
- Solid understanding of electrical components, industrial equipment, or technical materials (experience in control panels or automation is an advantage).
- Excellent analytical, cost-management, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and manage multiple priorities.
