Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager – Spices to manage the sourcing and procurement of quality spices and spice-related raw materials. The role will be responsible for developing reliable supplier networks, negotiating competitive prices, ensuring consistent quality and timely availability, and managing procurement in line with business requirements.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of export and logistics ,the spice market, seasonal availability, quality parameters, supplier management, and price trends.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain a strong network of spice suppliers, farmers, traders, processors, and manufacturers.
- Monitor daily/weekly market prices, seasonal trends, availability, and supply conditions.
- Identify and evaluate recent suppliers based on quality, pricing, reliability, capacity, and compliance.
- Negotiate purchase prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Ensure procurement is carried out at competitive prices while maintaining required quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control, Production, Stores, Finance, and Sales teams to understand requirements and ensure uninterrupted supply.




- Establish purchase plans based on production requirements, inventory levels, sales forecasts, and market conditions.
- Inspect and verify raw-material quality in coordination with the Quality Control team.
- Ensure purchased spices meet agreed specifications for moisture, colour, cleanliness, size, grade, adulteration, pesticide residues, aflatoxin, microbiological parameters, and other applicable standards.
- Monitor supplier performance and take corrective action where required.
- Maintain proper purchase records, supplier databases, quotations, purchase orders, contracts, and documentation.
- Track deliveries and ensure timely receipt of materials at the required quantity and quality.
- Manage inventory levels to avoid both stock-outs and excessive inventory.
- Develop long-term supplier relationships and, where appropriate, establish supply contracts or annual procurement arrangements.
- Stay updated on domestic and international spice-market developments and their impact on pricing and availability.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for improving procurement efficiency.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, food-safety requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
