1. About the Role

Kaushik Fire & Safety Services is looking for an experienced and technically competent Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, monitoring and successful completion of Fire & Safety projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing projects from order receipt through engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, commissioning, inspection, documentation and final handover.

The role requires strong knowledge of fire-fighting systems, fire hydrant systems, fire detection systems, fixed fire-fighting systems, fire tenders, industrial fire protection, fire & safety equipment and applicable Indian standards.

The person should be capable of independently handling projects at industrial plants, ports, warehouses, infrastructure projects, government organizations and other large establishments.

1. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Project Planning & Execution

- Take complete responsibility for assigned projects from commencement to final completion.
- Study the Work Order / Purchase Order / Tender / BOQ / Technical Specifications / Drawings / Scope of Work thoroughly.
- Prepare detailed project execution plans, schedules and milestones.
- Plan manpower, materials, tools, equipment and subcontractor requirements.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning activities.
- Monitor project progress against approved timelines and identify delays at an early stage.
- Ensure projects are completed within the agreed time, cost, quality and safety parameters.
- Conduct regular site meetings and progress reviews.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports for management.

D. Standards, Codes & Compliance The candidate shall have working knowledge of applicable NBC, BIS/IS standards, OISD guidelines and relevant state fire regulations. Particular familiarity with the following will be preferred:

The Project Manager shall ensure that project execution complies with applicable statutory and client requirements.
1. Client & Consultant Coordination

- Act as the primary project-level contact for clients and consultants.
- Attend client meetings, technical discussions and progress review meetings.
- Understand client requirements and ensure timely implementation.
- Coordinate inspections with client representatives and consultants.
- Prepare responses to technical observations and inspection comments.
- Coordinate material approvals, drawing approvals and inspection approvals.
- Maintain professional relationships with major industrial and institutional clients.
- Escalate critical issues to senior management with recommended solutions.

1. Procurement & Material Management

- Prepare project-wise material requirement schedules.

- Ensure material availability at site as per project schedule.

1. Subcontractor & Manpower Management

- Identify manpower requirements for each stage of the project.
- Supervise subcontractors and site teams.
- Allocate responsibilities to site engineers, supervisors, technicians and workers.
- Monitor productivity and workmanship.
- Verify subcontractor work quantities and progress.
- Ensure subcontractors comply with project safety requirements.
- Resolve manpower and execution-related issues.
- Maintain discipline and qualified conduct at project sites.

1. Quality Control

- Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications and applicable standards.
- Establish project-level quality checkpoints.
- Conduct inspections at critical stages of installation.
- Coordinate pressure testing, flushing, hydro testing and functional testing.
- Ensure proper testing and commissioning of pumps and fire-fighting systems.
- Verify equipment performance before final handover.
- Ensure all punch points are closed before project completion.
- Coordinate preparation of test certificates and commissioning reports.

1. Safety Responsibility

- Ensure compliance with site HSE requirements.
- Coordinate with client safety departments.
- Ensure workers use appropriate PPE.
- Ensure secure working practices during:
- Hot work

1. Project Commercial Management

The Senior Project Manager will also be responsible for monitoring the commercial performance of assigned projects.
