Role Description The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring that production plans are met with consistent quality and efficiency. This full time, on-site role based in Bengaluru includes planning and scheduling production, allocating resources, and coordinating with procurement, maintenance, and quality teams. The role involves monitoring output, optimizing processes, implementing safety and quality standards, and resolving operational issues on the shop floor.

The Production

Manager will lead and mentor production staff, track performance metrics, and drive continuous improvement in productivity, cost control, and delivery timelines.



Regular reporting to senior management on production status, risks, and improvement initiatives is expected.

Qualifications

- Solid experience in production management, including planning, scheduling, and supervising manufacturing operations in an industrial or engineering environment.
- Knowledge of precision manufacturing processes, preferably in tooling, dies, or related mechanical components, and familiarity with quality and safety standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train, guide, and motivate production staff, and manage cross-functional coordination.
- Competence in using production management tools, ERP or similar systems, and basic data analysis for monitoring output, efficiency, and quality indicators.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on process optimization, cost control, and on-time delivery.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and support a respectful, inclusive workplace.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical field; relevant diplomas with strong experience may also be considered.
- Experience in metalworking, wire drawing, or diamond/PCD tooling environments is an advantage, along with familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Kaizen.
