We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Production Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our furniture manufacturing facility. In this role, you will act as a bridge between the design team, inventory stores, and the workshop floor. Your primary goal is to maintain a seamless production schedule, ensure basic quality control standards are met, and help minimize material waste.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Scheduling & Tracking
- Monitor daily production timelines to ensure custom and batch furniture orders are completed on schedule.
- Prepare daily job orders, material dockets, and operational task sheets for craftsmen and technicians.
- Update production trackers and report bottlenecks directly to the Head of Production.
Material & Inventory Management
- Coordinate material requisitions for necessary hardware, foam, fabrics, glass, and wood finishes.
- Cross-reference incoming raw materials against specifications and design drawings.
- Track physical stock levels to minimize manufacturing downtime caused by material shortages.
- Maintaining vendor docs & preparing Po & Eway bills .
Logistics & Installation Support
- Maintain coordination with the design, purchasing, and site teams.
- Co ordinate furniture transfer from different location.
- Organize secure packaging and loading of finished goods to prevent in-transit damage.
- Assist with in office measurements, marking verification, and post-delivery snag resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience in furniture production, wood workshops, or interior fit-outs.
- Technical Skills: Basic ability to read and interpret technical furniture/production drawings.
- Software Competency: Familiarity with MS Excel or basic ERP software for monitoring materials and timelines.
