The organization designs engineering education experiences that move students beyond theory, enabling them to think, design, build, test, solve real-world problems, and continuously improve. Its work combines practical engineering and robotics with project-based learning, structured experiences, teacher support, and meaningful assessment of engineering capability.

VAKOTIX is currently developing and validating its education system with schools and stakeholders, starting from the needs of schools in Zimbabwe. The long-term vision is to strengthen engineering and technology capabilities by turning curiosity into practical skills and ideas into solutions.

Role Description The Product Development Specialist is a full time, on-site role based in East Godavari. This role involves leading and supporting the design, development, and refinement of educational products and learning experiences in engineering and technology. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market and user research with schools and educators, translating insights into product requirements, and collaborating with engineering and curriculum teams to prototype and iterate solutions.

The specialist will oversee product roadmaps,



coordinate testing and validation of offerings, document specifications, and ensure alignment with VAKOTIX’s vision for practical, project-based engineering education. The role also includes cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement of products based on feedback and evidence of learner outcomes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Market Research and Research and Development (R&D;) skills to gather insights and validate product concepts.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess product performance, and support evidence-based decision-making.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with educators, engineers, and internal teams, and to present findings clearly.
- Candidates should possess Product Management skills to define requirements, manage roadmaps, and coordinate cross-functional implementation.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Engineering, Technology, Product Management, or a related field are beneficial.
- Experience in education technology, curriculum development, or engineering education, and familiarity with project-based learning, is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in East Godavari, manage multiple projects, and adapt to a fast-evolving startup environment is expected.
