Role Description The Product Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing industrial equipment and components, from concept through to production, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Day-to-day tasks include creating and refining CAD models and drawings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, and supporting prototyping, testing, and iterative design improvements. The role involves analyzing mechanical systems, selecting appropriate materials and components, and preparing documentation such as specifications and bills of materials.





The engineer will also assist in troubleshooting design issues in existing products and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in line with AEPL’s quality standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Design Engineering and Product Design, with the ability to translate functional requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions.
- Solid background in Mechanical Engineering, including knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical components relevant to industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drafting and 3D modeling, with experience preparing detailed engineering drawings and assemblies.
- Hands-on experience in Product Development, covering concept generation, prototyping, testing, and iterative refinement of mechanical products.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related engineering discipline.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai and collaborate effectively with production, quality, and R&D; teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Experience with industrial machinery, packaging equipment, or surface treatment technologies is an advantage.
- Valuable communication skills and the ability to document designs, reports, and technical specifications clearly.
