About TapStock

TapStock is building a quick-commerce procurement platform for construction and interior materials, enabling contractors, builders, architects and project teams to procure essential materials quickly, reliably and competitively.

We are building a curated, technology-driven catalogue covering hardware, plumbing, electrical, paints, construction chemicals, tools, fasteners, adhesives, sanitary products and other construction & interior SKUs.

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager who can build the procurement engine from the ground up.

The Role

You will own category procurement, SKU selection, vendor development, pricing and procurement strategy across TapStock’s construction and interior-material categories.

This is a hands-on entrepreneurial role. You should know the market practically—not just procurement theory.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and manage TapStock’s construction & interior product catalogue
- Identify and define the right SKUs, brands, pack sizes and specifications
- Develop the initial 500–1,000 high-velocity SKUs for the quick-commerce model
- Build relationships with manufacturers, distributors, dealers and authorized suppliers
- Negotiate purchase prices, credit terms, MOQ, schemes, rebates and payment terms
- Benchmark market prices and ensure TapStock remains commercially competitive
- Develop category-wise procurement strategies
- Identify fast-moving vs. slow-moving products




- Maintain optimum inventory levels and improve inventory turns
- Work closely with Operations and Warehouse teams on stock availability and replenishment
- Establish alternate vendors for critical SKUs to avoid stock-outs
- Create and maintain SKU master data, specifications, brands, units, pack sizes and procurement prices
- Analyse procurement margins and landed cost
- Build procurement SOPs and vendor-performance systems
- Monitor market trends, new products and changing contractor/architect requirements
- Work with the founding team to develop TapStock’s private-label opportunities in the future

- 7–10 years of relevant industry experience




- Experience in procurement/purchasing from:
- Builders
- Contractors
- Interior/fit-out companies
- Construction companies
- Building-material companies
- Large project procurement organizations
- Strong knowledge of construction and interior-material SKUs
- Strong understanding of brands, specifications and market pricing
- Existing relationships with vendors/distributors/manufacturers
- Strong negotiation and commercial skills
- Understanding of inventory and working-capital management
- Ability to analyse landed cost, gross margin and procurement economics
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Ability to work in a fast-moving startup environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification

What is required → Which SKU → Which brand → Which vendor → At what price → What margin → How fast it can be delivered.

You should be comfortable building the procurement function from zero to scale.
