About the Role

Ishmat Lifestyle Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and trend-focused Print & Surface Pattern Designer to join our in-house design team.

The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for prints, patterns, colours, composition, and textile design, with the ability to develop creative concepts into commercially relevant prints for our fashion and lifestyle products.

This role requires someone who can work independently while closely collaborating with the Fashion Design, Merchandising, Production, and Sourcing teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesPrint & Pattern Development

- Develop original print and surface pattern designs based on seasonal and product requirements.
- Create all-over prints, placement prints, repeats, motifs, and pattern variations.
- Refine and adapt existing prints according to brand and product requirements.
- Develop multiple colourways and print variations.
- Create prints suitable for apparel and lifestyle products.
- Research fashion trends, colours, motifs, patterns, and competitor collections.

Creative Development
- Develop print concepts from mood boards, themes, briefs, and design directions.
- Create visually appealing colour combinations and compositions.
- Experiment with different motifs, textures, illustrations, and design techniques.
- Maintain consistency with the brand's overall aesthetic and product direction.
- Create print and product mockups for internal presentations and approvals.

Artwork & Production
- Prepare production-ready artwork according to required specifications.
- Ensure correct repeats, scale, placement, colourways, and file formats.
- Make design changes and revisions based on feedback.




- Coordinate with production and printing vendors when required.
- Ensure final artwork accurately represents the approved design.
- Maintain an organized library of print designs and artwork files.

Team Coordination
- Work closely with Fashion Designers, Merchandisers, Production, and Sourcing teams.
- Understand product requirements and develop prints accordingly.
- Participate in design discussions, collection development, and seasonal planning.
- Coordinate with printing vendors for sampling and production requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in Print Design, Textile Design, Surface Pattern Design, or Fashion Design.
- Strong understanding of textile prints, patterns, repeats, and placement designs.
- Excellent eye for colour, scale, composition, and aesthetics.
- Strong digital drawing and illustration skills.
- Proficiency in:
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Procreate
- Canva or similar design tools
- Good knowledge of print development and production requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop original design concepts.
- Ability to manage multiple design projects and deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is creative, visually strong, detail-oriented, and passionate about prints and patterns.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of colour, scale, composition, and fashion aesthetics, while also being able to create commercially viable designs that can be successfully translated into finished products.

You should be comfortable working in an in-house fashion design environment, taking ownership of your work from initial concept through final artwork.

Portfolio Requirement

Candidates must have a strong portfolio showcasing Print Design, Textile Design, Surface Pattern, Illustration, or Fashion Artwork.
