About Position:
We are seeking an experienced highly skilled Principal Embedded Observability & Telemetry Architect with 8 to 12 years of experience in software engineering, embedded systems, and enterprise-scale monitoring solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in embedded device monitoring, telemetry platforms, Linux-based edge environments, and backend development using Python and C#. You will lead the design and implementation of proactive monitoring, diagnostics, and observability solutions for large-scale embedded and edge device ecosystems, ensuring reliability, performance, and operational excellence across distributed environments.

What You'll Do:
- Design, architect, and develop telemetry and observability solutions for embedded and edge devices.
- Define and implement scalable device health monitoring, diagnostics, and alerting frameworks.
- Build systems to collect, process, store, and visualize real-time operational and performance metrics.
- Develop proactive monitoring capabilities that improve device fleet reliability, availability, and uptime.
- Design and develop backend services, monitoring agents, APIs, and microservices using Python and C#.
- Implement telemetry data collection, aggregation, and analytics solutions across distributed environments.
- Design and maintain monitoring dashboards, reporting solutions, and operational insights using Grafana.
- Implement and manage metric collection, alerting, and monitoring infrastructure using Prometheus.
- Monitor system-level metrics including CPU, memory, disk, network, application health, and hardware utilization.
- Administer, troubleshoot, and optimize Linux-based embedded and edge computing environments.
- Develop observability strategies for resource-constrained embedded devices and edge platforms.
- Collaborate with device engineering, platform, DevOps,
and infrastructure teams to improve system reliability and operational visibility.
- Drive monitoring architecture reviews, technical governance, and best practices across engineering teams.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex production and field issues.
- Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership on observability, telemetry, and monitoring frameworks.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, technology roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Expertise You'll Bring:
- 8 to 12 years of overall software engineering and technology experience.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on core development experience in embedded devices and edge computing environments.
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing telemetry, observability, and monitoring solutions for embedded systems.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Python and C# development.
- Strong experience developing backend services, APIs, microservices, and monitoring agents.
- Expertise in Grafana dashboard development, visualization, reporting, and operational analytics.
- Strong hands-on experience with Prometheus, metrics collection, monitoring configuration, and alert management.
- Deep understanding of Linux administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system diagnostics.
- Experience monitoring system-level metrics including CPU, memory, storage, networking, services, and application performance.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, edge computing architectures, and device fleet management.
- Experience building scalable monitoring platforms for mission-critical production environments.
- Strong expertise in log management,
performance analysis, incident management, and root cause analysis.
- Proven ability to design highly available, secure, and scalable observability architectures.
- Experience working with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to guide architectural decisions and mentor senior engineering teams.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-driven mindset with the ability to work independently in complex enterprise environments.
