Primary Science – Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and creative Primary Science Subject Matter Expert (SME) to develop, review, and improve Science learning content for primary-grade students. The candidate should have strong subject knowledge, a good understanding of the CBSE curriculum, and the ability to present scientific concepts in an engaging, simple, and age-appropriate manner.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and review Science content aligned with the CBSE primary curriculum.
- Create lesson plans, worksheets, activities, projects, experiments, and learning resources.
- Ensure scientific concepts are accurate, age-appropriate, and easy for young learners to understand.
- Design activity-based and experiential learning opportunities.
- Develop competency-based, application-oriented, and concept-focused questions.
- Prepare assessment materials, question banks, worksheets, and practice exercises.
- Review and edit textbooks, digital content, worksheets, and other academic resources.
- Incorporate real-life examples and hands-on activities to make Science learning engaging.
- Develop resources that encourage observation, exploration, curiosity, and critical thinking.
- Identify common learning gaps and recommend suitable remedial and enrichment activities.
- Provide subject-matter guidance and academic support to teachers.
- Collaborate with curriculum developers, teachers, editors, and academic teams.
- Review content for scientific accuracy, language, clarity, and consistency.
- Support the development of digital and multimedia-based Science learning resources.
- Stay updated with CBSE curriculum changes and modern Science teaching methodologies.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Science, Education,



or a relevant Science subject.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teacher-training qualification preferred.
- Additional qualifications in Science education, curriculum development, or educational content creation will be an advantage.

Experience
- Experience teaching Primary Science in a CBSE school is preferred.
- Experience in curriculum development, textbook/content development, assessment creation, or teacher training will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with strong Science subject knowledge and relevant teaching experience may also be considered.
