Role Overview

We are looking for a Cloud & Migration Solutions Architect – Pre-Sales to design and position cloud, migration, modernization, and disaster recovery solutions for complex enterprise environments.

The role requires strong expertise across cloud and infrastructure architecture, workload assessment, migration strategy, sizing, and technical pre-sales, with the ability to guide customers from discovery and solution design through PoC, technical closure, and delivery handover.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead customer discovery, workload assessments, architecture workshops, and technical discussions.
- Design solutions across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Assess complex enterprise workloads including:

-SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA & SAP ECC -Oracle Database, RAC & E-Business Suite

-Microsoft SQL Server & Always On

-Active Directory & Windows Server workloads

-PostgreSQL, MySQL & enterprise databases

-VMware-based enterprise environments

-Kubernetes/OpenShift & containerized applications

-Large structured/unstructured datasets, file and object workloads

-AI/GPU and other compute-intensive workloads

- Define target architectures and workload placement across AWS, Azure, GCP, private cloud, hosted cloud, Kubernetes, and bare metal.
- Develop migration strategies covering rehost, relocate, replatform, refactor, replication, migration waves, cutover, rollback, and validation.
- Design architectures covering compute, storage, networking, security, load balancing, backup, DR, monitoring, and connectivity.
- Design high availability, backup, disaster recovery,



and business continuity solutions based on SLA, RPO, and RTO requirements.
- Perform infrastructure sizing across CPU, memory, storage capacity, IOPS/throughput, network bandwidth, and future growth.
- Identify workload dependencies, migration risks, downtime requirements, security considerations, and modernization opportunities.
- Develop HLDs, architecture diagrams, BOMs, TCOs, migration plans, technical proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and SOWs.
- Lead or support PoCs, migration pilots, benchmarks, and technical validations.
- Support Sales throughout technical qualification, solution positioning, presentations, objection handling, and technical closure.
- Collaborate with OEMs, cloud providers, application/database specialists, Engineering, and Delivery teams to validate solutions and ensure successful handover.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

- 6–10 years of experience across Cloud, Infrastructure, Migration, Solution Architecture, or Technical Pre-Sales.
- Strong customer-facing Solution Architecture / Pre-Sales experience.
- Strong understanding of public, private, and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Strong expertise in at least one major hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with working knowledge of other cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of virtualization, compute, storage, networking, security, backup, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Experience assessing and migrating VMs, physical servers, databases, enterprise applications, containers, and large datasets.




- Ability to assess infrastructure and migration requirements for complex workloads such as SAP, Oracle, SQL Server, Active Directory, enterprise databases, VMware, and Kubernetes/OpenShift, working with application/database specialists where required.
- Strong understanding of workload discovery, dependency mapping, migration planning, wave planning, cutover, rollback, and validation.
- Ability to design solutions against SLA, RPO, RTO, performance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Strong infrastructure sizing, capacity planning, workload rightsizing, and TCO/cost analysis skills.
- Experience creating HLDs, BOMs, technical proposals, RFP/RFI responses, migration plans, and SOWs.
- Strong customer workshop, presentation, whiteboarding, and technical communication skills.

Preferred / Valuable-to-Have Skills

- Experience with OpenStack, VMware, Nutanix, Proxmox, or OpenShift.
- Experience with migration technologies such as VMware HCX, Zerto, Veeam, Azure Migrate, AWS migration services, or equivalent.
- Experience with enterprise storage, block/file/object storage, and large-scale data migration.
- Database migration and modernization experience.
- Kubernetes/container migration experience.
- Terraform, Ansible, or Infrastructure-as-Code/automation experience.
- Multi-site/multi-region HA and DR architecture experience.
- FinOps, cloud cost optimization, and workload rightsizing experience.
- Exposure to GPU, AI, HPC, or other specialized workloads.
- Relevant cloud/infrastructure certifications.
- Experience with Government, BFSI, Research, Public Sector, CSP/MSP, or large enterprise customers.

The ideal candidate combines strong cloud and infrastructure architecture depth, migration expertise, understanding of complex enterprise workloads, and customer-facing technical pre-sales capability.
