About The Role The Power Systems & Electrical Safety Technology Leader role at Procter & Gamble is a critical position responsible for managing and advancing the electrical safety network, systems, and standards on a global scale. This role requires a highly skilled electrical engineer with a passion for power delivery technology and safety protocols.
The successful candidate will lead initiatives to improve power system resiliency, reduce costs, and enhance safety across all organizational sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence global electrical safety practices, oversee training programs, and support large-scale power projects, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience, particularly in electrical or power systems projects. A bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields is required.
Candidates should have prior experience with safety systems, team management, and a strong understanding of electrical safety programs, including knowledge of P&G;'s safety protocols.
Hands-on experience with power delivery equipment, substation applications, medium voltage switchgear, and motor protective relays is highly desirable. Familiarity with global electrical codes and standards such as EN 50110 and NFPA 70E is essential.
Solid communication skills, the ability to work across diverse cultural and organizational boundaries, and proficiency with tools like Teams, SharePoint, and PowerBI are also required.
Responsibilities
- Provide front-end engineering support for large power system projects, including power delivery, cogeneration, and utility power system expansions, ensuring technical excellence and safety compliance.
- Lead the global electrical safety network by developing, implementing, and continuously improving safety standards and practices across all sites.
- Manage the global electrical safety training program, including conducting audits, facilitating classroom training, and traveling up to 25% for site visits and safety assessments.
- Identify creative power system technologies and methodologies that enhance resiliency, reduce costs, and improve maintenance practices, positioning the organization as a leader in power technology innovation.
- Support project and site-specific electrical power systems, providing technical guidance, reviewing designs, and ensuring adherence to regional and international standards.
- Interpret and apply electrical codes and standards from various countries,
ensuring compliance and best practices in all electrical installations and maintenance activities.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate complex technical information effectively, including delivering presentations to senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Perform or review short circuit studies, coordination studies, and flash hazard assessments; coach sites on implementing recommendations to optimize power safety and reliability.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and work collaboratively with project teams, vendors, and external partners worldwide.
