About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Plant Head – Sr. GM / GM to lead end-to-end operations of our manufacturing facility at Mundra, Gujarat. The position will be responsible for driving safe, efficient and cost-effective plant operations while ensuring quality, productivity, statutory compliance and continuous improvement.

The role will work closely with the Global Operations Head / Functional Head and will lead cross-functional teams across Production, Maintenance, QA/QC, Warehouse, EHS and related plant functions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plant & Operations Management

- Lead seamless 24/7 plant operations with strong focus on safety, quality, yield, productivity and cost optimization.
- Drive production planning, execution, capacity utilization and achievement of operational targets.
- Monitor plant performance, OEE, downtime and process losses, and implement corrective actions.
- Implement Lean, Six Sigma, TPM and other continuous-improvement practices across plant operations.
- Ensure effective coordination of Production, Maintenance, Stores, Warehouse and Dispatch operations.

2. EHS, Compliance & Regulatory Management

- Drive a Zero Harm culture and ensure compliance with applicable EHS standards and management systems.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including Factory, Labour,



Electrical, PESO and Pollution Control Board requirements.
- Lead safety audits, risk assessments, incident prevention and corrective/preventive action initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to applicable ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements and internal standards.

3. Financial, Cost & Budget Management

- Own and manage plant P&L;, CAPEX/OPEX budgets and cost-control initiatives.
- Optimize raw material consumption, energy usage, manpower productivity and process losses.
- Identify and implement initiatives for waste reduction, yield improvement and operating-cost optimization.

4. Leadership & People Management

- Lead and develop cross-functional plant teams across Production, Maintenance, QA/QC, Warehouse, EHS and related functions.
- Establish performance KPIs and drive accountability, productivity and a performance-oriented culture.
- Build capability through training, mentoring, succession planning and effective manpower management.
- Provide leadership during operational challenges, breakdowns and critical plant situations.

5. Technology, Automation & Continuous Improvement

- Identify opportunities for automation, digitalization, Industry 4.0 and process upgrades.
- Drive process optimization and technical improvements to enhance productivity, quality and reliability.
- Work with Engineering/R&D; teams to resolve technical bottlenecks and improve process performance.

6. Stakeholder & Business Management

- Work closely with corporate leadership to align plant performance with business objectives and strategic priorities.




- Manage relationships with suppliers, service providers, consultants and regulatory authorities.
- Provide regular operational, financial and performance updates to senior management.

Qualification & Experience

- B.E./B.Tech. in Chemical, Mechanical, Production, Metallurgical Engineering or a related discipline.
- MBA / PG qualification in Operations or Management will be an added advantage.
- 20+ years of experience in continuous-process / manufacturing plants, preferably in recycling, metals, plastics or allied industries.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Plant Head, Business Unit Head or Profit Centre Head with significant operational leadership responsibility.
- Experience in managing large-scale, multi-functional plant operations and driving measurable improvements in productivity, quality and cost.
- Willingness to travel to other business locations as required.
