Key Responsibilities1.
Operational
Leadership & Plant Management
- Lead overall plant operations to meet production targets, efficiency metrics, and budget parameters.
- Formulate and implement plant-level strategic plans, driving continuous improvement (Lean, 5S, Kaizen, TPM) to optimize operational costs.
- Monitor and maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across production lines.
2.
Production
Planning & Execution
- Direct monthly and daily production schedules based on demand forecasts, ensuring on-time fulfillment.
- Oversee solid, liquid, powder, or capsule/tablet processing units specific to Nutraceutical/Ayurvedic formulations.
- Minimize wastage, yield losses, and downtime during extraction, blending, and packaging.
3.
Quality
Compliance & Regulatory Standards
- Ensure strict adherence to cGMP, WHO-GMP, ISO, FSSAI, and AYUSH regulatory frameworks.
- Coordinate closely with Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) to maintain raw material, in-process, and finished product quality.
- Lead internal and external regulatory audits, resolving CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) and OOS (Out-of-Specification) investigations promptly.
4. Engineering, Maintenance & EHS
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs for all plant machinery, utilities, and extraction/packaging systems.
- Ensure full compliance with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines, state pollution control board norms, and local labor regulations.
5.
Supply
Chain & Inventory Control
- Coordinate raw material (botanical/herbal extracts, active ingredients) and packaging material requirements with the supply chain team.
- Maintain accurate inventory controls for materials and finished goods.
6.
People
Management & Industrial Relations
- Build, mentor, and evaluate department heads, supervisors, and shop-floor teams.
- Manage local labor relations, ensuring smooth workplace dynamics and adherence to Factories Act provisions.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: B.Pharma / M.Pharma / B.Tech (Chemical / Biotechnology) / B.Sc or M.Sc in Food Technology / Chemistry. An MBA in Operations is a strong plus.
- Experience: 10 to 20 years of core manufacturing experience in Nutraceutical, Herbal, or Ayurvedic plants, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role (Plant Head / Factory Manager / Sr.
Production
Manager).
- Technical Expertise: Thorough knowledge of Ayurvedic extraction, spray drying, granulation, blending, encapsulation/tableting, syrup manufacturing, and packaging technologies.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Sound understanding of AYUSH, FSSAI, WHO-GMP, and statutory labor/environmental regulations.
- Leadership & Financial Acumen: Strong track record in P&L; management, budget planning, vendor management, and team building.
Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹3,650,000.00 per year
