Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role located in Palakkad, supporting the medication-related needs of Atlas Eye Hospital’s patients and clinical teams. The Pharmacist will dispense prescribed medications accurately, verify prescriptions for appropriateness and safety, and maintain proper documentation and stock levels in the pharmacy. Daily responsibilities include counseling patients on correct medication usage and possible side effects, ensuring compliance with regulatory and hospital policies, and coordinating with physicians and nurses to optimize pharmacotherapy.





The role also involves monitoring storage conditions, managing expiry checks, participating in quality and safety initiatives, and supporting accurate billing and inventory processes.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and safe dispensing practices.
- Ability to provide clear medication counseling, with excellent communication and patient education skills.
- Attention to detail in prescription verification, documentation, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations, including formulary management and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Comfort working in a clinical team environment and collaborating with ophthalmologists, nurses, and administrative staff.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (D.Pharm / B.Pharm) from a recognized institution; valid pharmacy registration/license as required by local regulations.
- Basic computer proficiency for using hospital information systems and electronic records.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and continuous professional learning; prior hospital or eye care experience is an advantage.
