Job Summary The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medicines accurately, providing patient counseling, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations, maintaining inventory controls, and delivering excellent customer service. The role requires adherence to ethical pharmacy practices and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.

Key Responsibilities

- Prescription Handling &
- Dispensing - Verify prescriptions and dispense medicines accurately.

- Customer &

- Patient Counselling - Provide counseling on dosage, administration, storage, and side effects.

- Regulatory Compliance - Ensure compliance with Drugs &

- Cosmetics Act and Pharmacy Council regulations.

- Inventory Management - Maintain inventory, monitor expiries, and follow FEFO practices.

- Store Operations - Support billing, POS operations, and supplier coordination.

- Documentation &

- Record Keeping - Maintain statutory records and controlled drug registers.

- Sales &

- Business Development - Promote ethical sales and customer retention.

Qualification Requirements

Essential

- Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).

- Valid Registration with State Pharmacy Council.

- Registered Pharmacist Certificate.

Preferred

- Pharm.D or higher qualification.





- Certification in patient counseling and pharmacy management.

Experience

Fresher

- Internship or practical exposure in retail pharmacy.

Experienced

- 1-3 years of experience in retail pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or chain pharmacy operations.
