Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Physics

School: Narayana Etechno school, Salem ( Reddiyur)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate PGT Physics Teacher to teach Physics to senior secondary students. The candidate should have strong subject expertise, excellent classroom-management skills, and the ability to prepare students for CBSE Board examinations and competitive examinations while developing their conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons for Classes IXand X.
- Follow the CBSE Physics curriculum, syllabus, and prescribed learning outcomes.
- Explain complex Physics concepts through practical examples, demonstrations, experiments, and applications.
- Develop students' conceptual understanding, numerical-solving abilities, and analytical thinking.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, worksheets, question banks, and revision materials.
- Conduct laboratory sessions and practical activities in accordance with prescribed guidelines.
- Prepare students for CBSE Board examinations through regular assessments and structured revision.
- Design competency-based, application-oriented, and higher-order-thinking questions.
- Conduct periodic tests, assignments, practical assessments, and remedial sessions.
- Analyze student performance and provide appropriate academic support.
- Identify learning gaps and implement remedial and enrichment strategies.
- Guide students in Physics projects, experiments, investigatory activities, and academic competitions.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, practical work, and student progress.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safety of Physics laboratory equipment.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and communicate students' academic progress.
- Collaborate with other teachers and the academic team to support overall student development.
- Participate in school events, workshops, seminars, and professional-development activities.




- Stay updated with CBSE curriculum changes, examination patterns, and modern Physics teaching methodologies.

Educational Qualification
- M.Sc. in Physics or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teacher-training qualification.
- Additional qualifications in education or relevant competitive-examination preparation will be an advantage.

Experience
- Previous teaching experience as a PGT Physics Teacher in a CBSE school is preferred.
- Experience teaching Classes IX and X and preparing students for CBSE Board examinations is desirable.
- Experience in coaching students for competitive examinations such as JEE/NEET will be an added advantage.
