FFS Machine Technician & Production OperatorJob Overview
MH01 Tea and Trading Company is seeking a skilled FFS Machine Technician cum Operator for its tea bag manufacturing unit in Turbhe MIDC. We are looking for a technically proficient individual who can independently manage machine maintenance, identify and rectify operational faults, and ensure the smooth functioning of packaging equipment. The candidate will also be required to operate the machinery and support production whenever maintenance activities are not needed.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to keep FFS packaging machines in valuable working condition.
- Identify, diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults to minimise machine downtime.
- Carry out machine setup, parameter adjustments and changeovers for different products and packaging sizes.
- Monitor machine functioning and maintain consistent production quality and output.
- Document machine breakdowns, maintenance activities, repairs and other relevant records.
- Operate FFS machines and undertake routine production tasks whenever maintenance work is not required.
- Coordinate with the production team to meet daily targets and manage urgent or high-volume orders.
- Ensure the machines remain operational, efficient and ready for production requirements.
Eligibility & Technical Requirements
- ITI or Diploma in Fitter, Mechanical or Electrical trades is preferred.
- Candidates with a minimum qualification of 10th pass may also be considered if they possess substantial practical experience with FFS machines.
- Practical experience with Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) packaging machinery is mandatory.
- Experience in tea bag manufacturing, sachet packing or similar packaging operations will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting, machine settings and equipment adjustments.
- Basic knowledge of electrical components and systems used in packaging machinery.
- Ability to independently identify and resolve common machine faults and breakdowns.
- Familiarity with different FFS machine models and configurations will be beneficial.
Candidate Requirements The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background and a hands-on approach to machine maintenance. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of machine performance, handle routine servicing and breakdowns independently, and switch to production operations whenever required. Candidates whose experience is limited to machine operation, without maintenance and troubleshooting capabilities, may not be suitable for this position.
