Role Description The Owner role at Hilti Group in Tamil Nadu, India is a full-time, on-site position responsible for overseeing business operations, performance, and growth within the assigned area or unit. This role includes setting strategic priorities, managing budgets, and ensuring alignment with Hilti’s global standards for productivity, safety, and sustainability.
The Owner monitors key performance indicators, optimizes processes, and guides local implementation of company initiatives and customer-focused solutions. Day-to-day activities involve collaborating with cross-functional teams,
building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring that services, products, and support meet or exceed market expectations. The role also includes developing talent, fostering an inclusive and high-performance culture, and ensuring compliance with relevant legal, ethical, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in business ownership, general management, or senior leadership, ideally within construction, industrial, or related sectors.
- Robust skills in strategic planning, financial management, and performance monitoring to drive sustainable growth and operational excellence.
- Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and build an inclusive, collaborative, and safety-focused work environment.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and customer engagement skills to maintain and expand key accounts and partnerships.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with experience implementing process improvements and managing change.
- Effective communication skills in English; local language skills for Tamil Nadu are an advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Willingness to work on-site in Tamil Nadu, India and travel within the region as required.
