We are looking for an experienced and responsible Rice Mill Operations Manager to manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the rice milling plant. The person will be responsible for production planning, manpower management, machine and process supervision, quality control, yield optimization, maintenance coordination, inventory control, safety, and ensuring smooth and productive plant operations.

Key Responsibilities1. Rice Mill Operations

- Manage and supervise complete rice milling operations from paddy receipt to finished rice packing.
- Monitor processes including cleaning, de-stoning, husking, paddy separation, whitening, polishing, grading, sorting, and packing.
- Ensure smooth and continuous operation of all production equipment.
- Monitor production targets, machine performance, output, and recovery/yield.
- Minimize process losses, wastage, breakage, and downtime.
- Maintain proper production records and daily operating reports.

1. Production Planning & Control

- Plan daily and monthly production according to raw material availability and dispatch requirements.
- Monitor paddy consumption, rice recovery, bran, husk, broken rice, and other by-products.
- Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective action.
- Ensure optimum utilization of plant capacity, machinery, and manpower.

1. Manpower Supervision

- Supervise operators, helpers, loaders, packing staff, and other plant workers.
- Allocate duties and shifts according to production requirements.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity, and work performance.
- Train workers on operating procedures, quality standards, and safety practices.

1. Quality Control

- Ensure finished rice meets required quality specifications.
- Monitor moisture, grain quality, broken percentage, whiteness/polish, foreign matter, and other relevant parameters.




- Coordinate with the quality team/laboratory for testing and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of paddy and finished products.

1. Machinery & Maintenance

- Monitor the condition and performance of milling machinery.
- Coordinate with maintenance personnel for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Report abnormal machine noise, vibration, heating, wear, or performance issues immediately.
- Ensure regular cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and preventive maintenance schedules are followed.
- Work to reduce machine breakdowns and unplanned downtime.

1. Inventory & Material Management

- Monitor availability and movement of paddy, packing materials, spare parts, and other production consumables.
- Coordinate with stores and purchase departments as required.
- Maintain proper stock records and minimize material wastage.

1. Reporting & Coordination

- Prepare daily production and plant operation reports.
- Maintain records of production, yield, downtime, manpower, consumption, and losses.
- Coordinate with purchase, stores, quality, maintenance, accounts, and dispatch teams.
- Provide regular updates to senior management regarding plant performance and operational issues.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Food Technology, Agriculture, or related field preferred.
- 02-04 years of experience in rice milling, grain processing, food processing, or a similar manufacturing plant.
- Strong practical knowledge of rice mill machinery and production processes.
- Experience in handling production workers and shift operations.
- Good understanding of rice yield, quality parameters, and process losses.
- Ability to troubleshoot operational and machinery-related problems.
- Basic computer skills for production reporting and record keeping.
- Willingness to work in shifts and extended hours when required.

Authority & Accountability The Operations Manager will be accountable for the safe, efficient, cost-effective, and uninterrupted operation of the rice mill, while achieving production and quality targets and maintaining proper discipline, housekeeping, and operational records. Salary: depending on experience and capability.

Experience: 02-04 years preferred.

Joining: Immediate / [Notice Period].

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
