Position: PYP & MYP Music Facilitator

UNICOSMOS School, an IB World School in Gurgaon (Haryana), is seeking a passionate and dynamic Music Facilitator to inspire students across the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). The ideal candidate will nurture creativity, musical expression, performance skills, and appreciation for diverse musical traditions through engaging and inquiry-based learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and facilitate engaging Music learning experiences aligned with the philosophy and requirements of the PYP and MYP frameworks.
- Develop students’ musical skills through singing, instrumental music, composition, performance, listening, and music appreciation activities.
- Foster creativity, collaboration, self-expression, and confidence through a variety of musical experiences and performances.
- Develop and review curriculum documents, including scope and sequence plans, subject overviews, and unit plans aligned with IB principles.
- Organize and support school performances, assemblies, celebrations, exhibitions, and other events that showcase student learning and talent.
- Assess and monitor student progress using appropriate assessment practices and provide meaningful feedback to support growth.
- Integrate Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, learner agency,



and international-mindedness into teaching and learning experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and review, interdisciplinary learning opportunities, assessment moderation, and the ongoing development of the IB programmes at the school.
- Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music, Performing Arts, or a related field, along with a B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- 2–5 years of relevant teaching experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in vocal and/or instrumental music instruction.
- Experience with IB PYP and/or MYP, international curricula, or inquiry-based learning environments preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, classroom management, and performance leadership skills.
- Passion for fostering creativity, artistic expression, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
