Mercaze is a mid-premium men's innerwear brand from Mumbai. We make the first thing a man puts on in the morning, and we think it deserves better design than a sad cardboard box and a stock photo of abs.
The brief (pun intended)
We need a designer who can do it all: stills, video, animation, AI, packaging. You will be the eyes of the brand. If it has pixels or gets printed, it goes through you.
What you will actually do
- Design scroll-stopping creatives for social, ads, the website, and emailers
- Edit reels, product films, and ad cuts that make people watch twice
- Make animated videos, from explainers to motion-heavy ads
- Use AI studios to generate raw images and video as the brief demands, then polish them until nobody can tell
- Create packaging and print artwork people feel bad throwing away
- Retouch product and campaign photos (yes, you will become an expert on waistbands)
- Resize one idea into 14 formats without losing your mind or the brand
- Turn "can we make it pop?" into something that actually pops
You are our person if you
- Have 1–2 years of design experience,
ideally with a fashion or consumer D2C brand
- Are fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects (Figma or Canva is a bonus)
- Are comfortable with AI image and video tools and know how to prompt your way to a usable output
- Have a portfolio with static, video, and animation work
- Have strong opinions about fonts and can defend them politely
- Know what works on Instagram and what dies at 12 views
- Can juggle deadlines without dropping quality
Extra points for
- Product photography or shoot direction experience
- Basic 3D or mock-up skills
- Being able to say "boxer brief" in a meeting with a straight face
Where this goes You start as a team of one. As the brand grows, you get to build and lead your own creative team. Today you are the designer; tomorrow you are the one hiring them.
What you get
- Salary : starting 30k [Higher depending on experience and portfolio]
- Real ownership of how a growing brand looks
- A small team, fast approvals, and work that ships
- Never having to explain what your company sells twice
