– Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Fitter) Position Mechanical Maintenance Technician Department Engineering / Maintenance Employment Type Blue Collar Job Summary The Fitter ITI Technician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing & troubleshooting of mechanical equipment ensuring protected working condition with good 5S and with proper documentation.

Experience 7-10 years of mechanical maintenance experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing plants. Qualification ITI Certificate in Fitter Trade from a recognized institute. MS-CIT or related computer knowledge Key Responsibilities He will be responsible for carrying out preventive, predictive, condition-based and breakdown maintenance and maintaining relevant records.

He will be responsible for maintaining 5S & safety standards in his work area. He will be responsible for execution of safety, productivity related improvement projects. Repair and replace defective parts such as bearings, seals, valves, couplings, and gaskets.

Perform alignment of pumps, motors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment. Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs;,



and technical manuals. Use measuring instruments such as vernier callipers, micrometres, and dial gauges.

Conduct routine inspections and report abnormalities. Ensure proper lubrication and housekeeping of equipment. Follow safety procedures, work permits, and company EHS guidelines. Support plant shutdown and commissioning activities.

Maintain maintenance records and job completion reports. Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic Skills Required Knowledge of mechanical maintenance and fitting practices. Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.

Understanding of pumps, valves, compressors, and rotating equipment. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Awareness of safety standards and industrial practices.
