Role Description The Drafter is responsible for reverse engineering and product development activities related to mechanical parts and assemblies. The role focuses on developing high-quality engineering deliverables, including 3D models, bills of materials (BOMs), drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation to support manufacturing and product lifecycle management.

- Full Time Remote Role (1 Month brief probation period to be completed from Jaipur, Rajasthan)
- Work Timings : 4PM to 1AM, Monday to Friday

Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop 3D models from scanned parts as part of reverse engineering projects.
- Create and maintain detailed components, assembly, and manufacturing models using company engineering standards.
- Generate and update engineering deliverables, including BOMs, drawings, specifications, and supporting technical documentation.
- Develop assemblies and ensure proper fit, function, and manufacturability of designs.
- Analyze existing and analogous designs to support product development, standardization, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Apply sound engineering judgment to dimensions, tolerances, fits, and material selection.




- Consider manufacturing processes and recommend design improvements to enhance quality, cost, and production efficiency.
- Review and incorporate feedback from Lead Engineers and other stakeholders.
- Ensure all engineering data is accurately maintained within Teamcenter and related systems.
- Support technical problem-solving activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Comply with company engineering standards, design practices, and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in design, drafting, reverse engineering, or a similar field.
- Knowledge of GD&T;, engineering drawings, tolerances, fits, and manufacturing processes.
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality engineering outputs.
- Ability to create accurate 3D models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to work directly with engineering teams and stakeholders at Metso.
- Familiarity with castings, forgings, machined components, and welded assemblies.
- Experience with Teamcenter or other PLM/PDM systems.
- Previous experience with mining, heavy equipment, crushers, industrial machinery, or large mechanical assemblies would be preferred but is not mandatory.
- Strong proficiency in Siemens NX, particularly 3D modeling, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
