Role Description This is a full time, on-site Mechanical Design Intern role based in Hyderabad. The intern will support the design team in developing mechanical components and assemblies for fabrication and manufacturing projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and updating CAD models and drawings, assisting with design calculations, and preparing documentation for production.

The role also involves collaborating with engineers and shop-floor teams, participating in design reviews, and supporting prototype development and testing. The intern will help with basic inspection activities, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and learn industry best practices in mechanical design and fabrication.

Qualifications

- foundation in Mechanical Engineering principles and an interest in industrial and fabrication applications.




- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
- Basic understanding of Maintenance practices and mechanical systems performance.
- Exposure to Inspection methods, dimensional checks, and quality standards.
- Interest or background in Automotive components or related mechanical systems.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to work on-site in a fabrication environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Good communication skills and a learning-oriented mindset.

What we're looking for

- Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Basic knowledge of [SolidWorks / AutoCAD / Creo], from coursework or personal projects
- Understanding of engineering drawings and basic GD&T;
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, welding, 3D printing)
- Eagerness to learn, good communication, and attention to detail
- Ability to take feedback and work in a team
