We work across CAD, CFD, FEA, product design, reverse engineering, aerospace, turbomachinery and thermal engineering. Alongside consultancy, we help students and professionals develop practical engineering skills through structured learning and hands-on projects.

Role Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong Siemens NX skills and the ability to explain design concepts clearly to beginners.

The role combines mechanical design work with developing and delivering project-based NX training. You will create models, assemblies and engineering drawings, record instructional videos, and guide learners from basic sketching to complete mechanical design projects.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.

Key Responsibilities

- Create parametric parts, assemblies and engineering drawings using Siemens NX.
- Develop a structured beginner-to-intermediate NX curriculum with transparent learning outcomes.
- Record screen-based video lessons explaining both the software commands and the reasoning behind design decisions.
- Develop practical projects such as bearing housings, gearboxes, hydraulic cylinders, sheet-metal brackets and introductory aerospace geometry.
- Teach sketch constraints, design intent, assembly relationships, drafting, fits, tolerances and manufacturing considerations.
- Prepare practice exercises, supporting CAD files, assessments and project review checklists.




- Review student work, troubleshoot modelling problems and provide constructive feedback.
- Support AeroFluid’s engineering consultancy projects where required.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline.
- Practical proficiency in Siemens NX, including sketching, solid modelling, assemblies and drafting.
- Sound understanding of engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, materials, fits and tolerances.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and patiently to beginners.
- Experience developing mechanical components or assemblies with attention to manufacturability.
- Strong communication skills in English; the ability to teach in Hindi is an advantage.
- Willingness to record instructional videos and develop learning materials.
- A portfolio demonstrating relevant NX models, assemblies and drawings.

Preferred Skills

- NX surface modelling, sheet metal, synchronous modelling or PMI.
- Working knowledge of GD&T; and tolerance stack-up.
- Experience teaching, mentoring or creating technical tutorials.
- Familiarity with screen-recording tools such as OBS Studio.
- Basic FEA knowledge and experience connecting CAD geometry with engineering verification.
