The Manager –
- Procurement will head the L7 –
- IN –
- NUMERIC procurement team at IN‑NOVATEUR ELECTRICAL &
- DIGITAL SYSTEMS PRIVATE LIMITED. You will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing inventory levels to meet production schedules while minimizing costs and mitigating material shortages across all manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities
- 1. Procurement &
- PO Management
- Manage procurement from PR to PO and PO closure.
- Ensure timely PO creation and release based on MRP, production plan, consumption, MSL and lead time.
- Monitor open POs, pending quantities and supplier commitments.
- Follow up with suppliers and resolve delivery or quantity issues.
- Ensure materials are available on time to support production.
- 2. Inventory &
- Material Planning
- Maintain optimum inventory across all plants.
- Ensure MSL and replenishment levels are maintained.
- Monitor material consumption, demand, stock and open POs.
- Identify potential shortages, excess stock and slow-moving materials.
- Use inter-plant stock transfer wherever possible before making fresh purchases.
- Improve inventory turnover and reduce working capital.
- 3.
Supplier
Management
- Monitor supplier delivery, quality, MOQ and lead time.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews.
- Work with suppliers to:
- Reduce lead time
- Reduce MOQ
- Improve delivery reliability
- Support smaller and more frequent deliveries
- Take corrective action for delayed or poor-performing suppliers.
- 4. KANBAN, Pull Flow &
- Lean Supply
- Identify suitable fast-moving materials for KANBAN / Pull System.
- Implement consumption-based replenishment with suppliers and stores.
- Define appropriate KANBAN quantities and replenishment frequency.
- Support Heijunka / level loading to smoothen material requirements.
- Reduce excess inventory, shortages and unnecessary material movement.
- 5.
Excess &
- Slow-Moving Inventory
- Regularly review ageing, excess and obsolete inventory.
- Prepare action plans for reducing old stock through:
- Production consumption
- Inter-plant transfer
- Alternate usage
- Supplier return
- Other liquidation methods
- Set reduction targets and track progress.
- 6. SAP, MIS &
- Performance Monitoring
- Ensure effective use of SAP MM/PP for procurement and material planning.
- Maintain accurate MRP, lead-time, lot-size and replenishment parameters.
- Develop and monitor dashboards/reports for:
- Inventory
- MSL adherence
- Shortages
- Open PO ageing
- Supplier OTD
- Excess inventory
- Lead-time and MOQ
- Critical material availability
- Present key issues and action plans to management.
- 7. Multi-Plant Coordination
- Coordinate material requirements across all plants.
- Ensure the right material reaches the right plant at the right time.
- Coordinate with Procurement, PPC, Production, Stores, Logistics and SCM teams.
- Proactively resolve critical material shortages and supply issues.
- Ensure continuous material availability without unnecessary inventory buildup.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
- MBA preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive procurement experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Proven track record in managing multi‑plant procurement operations and inventory optimization.
- Solid negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to achieve cost reductions.
- Excellent analytical abilities with proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Excel.
- Knowledge of Indian procurement regulations, GST, and import/export compliance.
- Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop a high‑performing team.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across functions.
- Certification such as CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in fast‑paced environments.
