Role Purpose

Own the end-to-end business performance of Mumbai by driving sustainable growth, profitability, operational excellence, and market leadership. The City Head is accountable for business outcomes across demand, supply, pricing, partner operations, customer experience, and city execution while acting as the bridge between central functions and city teams.

Core Responsibilities

A. Business Ownership & City Strategy

- Own city P&L; and deliver growth across revenue, profitability, fulfilment, and market share.
- Develop and execute city strategies based on local demand patterns, competition, and seasonality.
- Identify growth opportunities across customer segments, zones, and categories.
- Balance short-term execution with long-term market expansion.

B. Supply, Pricing & Marketplace Management

- Plan city supply requirements using demand forecasts and seasonal trends.
- Drive pricing interventions balancing growth, partner earnings, customer affordability, and profitability.
- Optimize marketplace efficiency through supply allocation and productivity improvements.
- Monitor partner health and supply quality to improve fulfilment.

C. Customer & Partner Experience

- Own operational excellence across fulfilment, cancellations, customer satisfaction, and partner engagement.
- Drive process improvements and resolve escalations through structured problem solving.
- Ensure consistent execution of SOPs and operational standards.

D. Competitive Strategy & Market Intelligence

- Benchmark competition across pricing, service quality, partner earnings, and customer experience.
- Translate market insights into business interventions.

E. Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration

- Build and coach high-performing city teams.




- Partner with Product, Finance, Marketing, Supply, CX, and Category teams.
- Provide structured on-ground feedback to influence central strategy.

F. Business Reviews & Performance Management

- Monitor key business metrics and conduct regular business reviews.
- Drive data-backed decision making and corrective actions.
