About the Role

Job Role: Manager- Alumni Engagement Cell

Role Purpose

- The Manager Alumni Engagement Cell will be responsible for building and strengthening a strong, active and mutually beneficial relationship between KIET and its alumni.
- The role will focus on converting alumni relationships into meaningful opportunities for student mentoring, internships, placements, industry connect, entrepreneurship and institutional development.

Responsibilities

- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Alumni Engagement Strategy.
- Build strong relationships with alumni across batches, programs, industries and geographies.
- Plan and execute Alumni Meets, reunions, guest lectures, webinars, mentoring sessions and networking events.
- Develop engaging initiatives such as Alumni Podcasts, Success Stories, newsletters and digital campaigns.
- Establish structured student–alumni mentoring and interaction programs.
- Leverage alumni networks for internships, placements, live projects, industry visits and career opportunities.
- Identify distinguished alumni and engage them as mentors, ambassadors, recruiters and industry collaborators.
- Develop alumni chapters, professional networks and regional engagement initiatives.
- Maintain an updated alumni database and track engagement, achievements and contributions.
- Collaborate with CRPC, academic departments, communications and other University units for alumni-led initiatives.
- Explore alumni contributions towards scholarships, innovation, entrepreneurship, research and institutional development.

- Growth in active and engaged alumni
- Number and quality of alumni engagement initiatives




- Alumni participation in mentoring, lectures and student activities
- Alumni-generated internship and placement opportunities
- Growth of alumni chapters and qualified networks

- Alumni contributions to academic, industry, innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives
- Core Expectation:
- Build relationships. Create engagement. Activate the alumni network. Convert alumni connect into opportunities for students and KIET.

Qualifications

- Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Management, Communications, Public Relations, Education, Social Sciences or a relevant discipline.
- 4–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in alumni relations or a similar role in a University/College.
- Demonstrated experience in alumni engagement, event management and stakeholder relationship building.
- Experience in mobilizing alumni for internships, placements, mentoring and industry engagement will be preferred.
