Job Summary

RK Group is looking for an experienced Kitchen Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, reliability, and smooth functioning of commercial kitchen equipment and infrastructure across kitchen operations. The role will be responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance, vendor management, team supervision, and ensuring minimum equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment.
- Ensure smooth functioning of cooking, refrigeration, washing, exhaust, HVAC and utility equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all kitchen equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential failures before breakdowns.
- Handle emergency breakdowns and ensure quick restoration of operations.
- Maintain equipment-wise maintenance records, service history and AMC documentation.
- Coordinate with OEMs, vendors and service agencies for repairs, AMC and spare parts.
- Manage inventory of critical spares, tools and maintenance consumables.
- Supervise and guide technicians and maintenance staff.
- Ensure compliance with electrical, fire, safety and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with Kitchen Operations, Projects, Procurement and Administration teams.




- Monitor maintenance costs and support cost-effective maintenance solutions.
- Identify opportunities for equipment improvement, replacement and energy efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment and infrastructure.
- Prepare maintenance MIS, breakdown reports and preventive maintenance reports for management.
- Ensure maintenance activities do not adversely impact kitchen production and service operations.

Equipment Exposure The candidate should ideally have hands-on exposure to:
- Commercial cooking equipment
- Ovens, combi ovens & steamers
- Fryers, ranges & griddles
- Refrigerators, freezers & cold rooms
- Dishwashers & pot-washing systems
- Exhaust & ventilation systems
- LPG/gas systems and kitchen utilities
- Water pumps and related equipment
- Electrical panels and kitchen electrical systems
- Bakery/kitchen production equipment

Candidate Profile
- 8–12 years of experience in maintenance, preferably within commercial kitchens, hotels, QSRs, food production, catering or large-scale food service operations.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and utility maintenance.
- Experience managing technicians and external maintenance vendors.
- Good knowledge of preventive maintenance and breakdown management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage maintenance activities across multiple kitchen locations, if required.
- Good communication, documentation and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel between sites as per business requirements.
