Role Description The Livestock Development Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. The role involves providing technical guidance to livestock owners on breeding, nutrition, health management, and housing practices to improve productivity and animal welfare.

Responsibilities include organizing field visits, conducting training and demonstrations, collecting and analyzing field data, and preparing reports and documentation related to livestock development programs.

The Livestock Development

Officer will coordinate with local partners, community groups, and internal teams to implement project activities, monitor progress,



and support capacity-building initiatives. The role also includes supporting resource mobilization efforts, participating in outreach and awareness campaigns, and ensuring adherence to organizational and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Annual Giving and Fundraising to support program sustainability and resource mobilization.
- Demonstrated understanding of Philanthropy and donor engagement to build and maintain supportive partnerships.
- Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to interact with rural communities, stakeholders, and internal teams clearly and respectfully.
- Proficiency in Research, including data collection, field documentation, and basic analysis to inform program planning and evaluation.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Rural Development, or a related field.
- Experience working directly with livestock or rural communities, preferably in development or extension projects.
- Ability to travel within the Pune Division, work in field conditions, and collaborate effectively with diverse community members.
- Robust organizational skills, basic computer literacy, and the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
