Role Description The Machine Learning Engineer internship at QbytX is an on-site role based in Chennai. Interns will assist in designing, implementing, and evaluating machine learning models for demography-specific inference tasks.

Day-to-day responsibilities include experimenting with neural network and pattern recognition algorithms, cleaning and preparing datasets, building and testing model prototypes, and analyzing performance metrics to reduce bias and improve accuracy. The role also involves collaborating with senior engineers to optimize model pipelines, documenting experiments and results,



and contributing to internal tools and frameworks. This internship provides hands-on exposure to applied machine learning, responsible AI practices, and scalable inference infrastructure.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Computer Science and understanding of core Algorithms relevant to machine learning and data processing.
- Knowledge of Pattern Recognition techniques and experience applying Neural Networks to classification or prediction problems.
- Solid grasp of Statistics , including probability, hypothesis testing, and model evaluation metrics.
- Experience with programming languages commonly used in ML (such as Python) and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Ability to work with datasets, including data cleaning, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and an interest in fairness, bias reduction, and responsible AI.
- Currently pursuing or having recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.
