About Youthville
Youthville is a hospitality and managed-living venture of the Kohinoor Group, focused on providing premium, comfortable and community-driven accommodation experiences. With an expanding presence in Pune and ambitions to grow its footprint across Pune and Mumbai, Youthville is building a scalable, professionally managed accommodation business.
At Youthville, we believe that great experiences for residents begin with strong systems, operational excellence and a committed team. As we continue to grow, we are looking for experienced finance professionals who can strengthen our financial foundation, drive process excellence and contribute to the company's long-term business growth.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified Lead – Finance & Accounts to take complete ownership of the finance and accounting function at Youthville.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a finance professional who has worked in a startup or high-growth business environment and can independently manage end-to-end finance operations, financial planning, accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, budgeting, cash flow, audits and management reporting.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting expertise with business acumen, leadership capabilities and the ability to build scalable financial systems in a growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Finance & Accounting
Take complete ownership of the finance and accounts function across the organisation.
Oversee day-to-day accounting, general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations and month-end and year-end closures.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including the Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement.
Establish robust accounting policies, internal controls and standard operating procedures.
Ensure accurate accounting of revenue, expenses, vendor payments, customer collections, advances and accruals.
Monitor financial transactions across properties, departments and business entities.
2. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Analysis
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
Prepare monthly MIS reports, variance analysis and financial dashboards for management.
Analyse revenue, operating costs, property-level profitability and business performance.
Monitor key financial indicators, cost efficiency and profitability across locations.
Provide actionable financial insights to management for strategic and operational decisions.
Support business expansion plans through financial modelling, feasibility analysis and investment evaluation.
3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Manage direct and indirect taxation, including income tax, GST, TDS and applicable statutory compliances.
Ensure timely filing of returns, payment of taxes and reconciliation of statutory records.
Oversee tax audits, statutory audits, internal audits and other regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, banks and regulatory authorities.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws and corporate regulations.
Monitor compliance requirements across relevant legal entities and business operations.
4. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
Manage daily cash flow, liquidity planning and working capital requirements.
Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate funds for business operations.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor settlements and collection cycles.
Develop controls for payment approvals, expense management and fund utilisation.
Maintain banking relationships and support financing requirements wherever applicable.
5. Internal Controls & Process Automation
Develop and implement strong financial controls and approval mechanisms.
Identify opportunities to automate accounting, reporting and finance workflows.
Improve financial processes, documentation, reconciliation and audit readiness.
Implement standardised finance practices across properties and business units.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure financial discipline and process compliance.
6. Leadership & Business Partnering
Lead, mentor and develop the finance and accounts team.
Establish clear responsibilities, performance standards and reporting timelines.
Partner with business leaders, operations, sales, procurement and management teams.
Work closely with senior management on financial strategy, risk management and business planning.
Support new property launches, expansion projects, commercial evaluations and financial due diligence.
Build a proactive finance function that supports business growth rather than merely recording transactions.
Candidate Requirements
Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified — mandatory.
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience,
with demonstrated leadership or team-management experience.
Startup exposure: Prior experience working in a startup, scale-up or high-growth organisation is strongly preferred.
Strong expertise in end-to-end accounting, taxation, financial reporting, budgeting, MIS and cash flow management.
Experience managing audits, statutory compliances and multiple business operations or entities.
Ability to independently lead the finance function and establish processes from the ground up.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Proficiency in accounting systems, Excel and financial reporting tools; experience with ERP or cloud-based accounting platforms is an advantage.
A hands-on, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
