About the Role

We are looking for a Laboratory & Quality Specialist to take ownership of our in-house material testing and laboratory operations for stainless steel pipes and coils.

We already have a range of testing equipment at our manufacturing facility, and this role will be responsible for putting that equipment to effective use, standardizing our testing processes, maintaining proper records, and developing professional Material Test Certificates (MTCs) for our finished products of all grades.

The role will work closely with our production and quality teams to understand material properties, identify quality issues, and use testing data to improve product consistency and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct routine and specialized testing of stainless steel pipes, coils and finished products.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including:
- Universal Testing Machine (UTM)
- Vickers & Rockwell Hardness Testers
- Metallurgical/Microscopic Examination Equipment
- Muffle Furnace
- Prepare samples and carry out testing in accordance with relevant specifications and testing standards.
- Record, analyze and maintain accurate test results and laboratory documentation.
- Develop standardized testing procedures, sampling methods and laboratory SOPs.




- Prepare professional Material Test Certificates (MTCs) based on test results.
- Maintain traceability between raw material, production batches, samples and finished products.
- Analyze test results to identify variations, trends or quality issues.
- Work with production and quality teams to investigate material and process-related problems.
- Support product development, process improvement and customer-specific testing requirements.
- Help establish and continuously improve the company's overall in-house laboratory and quality-control system.

What We're Looking For

- Diploma or degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or a related field.
- Practical experience in material testing, metallurgy, quality control or metal manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with UTM, hardness testing, microscopy/metallography or similar laboratory equipment.
- Understanding of stainless steel, mechanical properties and material testing standards.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret test results and communicate findings clearly.
- Knowledge of ASTM, ASME, EN, ISO or other relevant testing standards will be an advantage.
- Someone who is comfortable working independently and can build and standardize processes from the ground up.
