Job Summary The Lab Technician will be responsible for the smooth functioning, maintenance, safety, and day-to-day operations of pharmacy laboratories. The role involves preparing laboratory materials, assisting faculty and students during practical sessions, maintaining equipment and chemicals, and ensuring proper laboratory records and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare laboratories, chemicals, reagents, instruments, glassware, and other materials for practical sessions.
- Assist faculty members during Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology, and other pharmacy practicals, as applicable.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and disposal of chemicals and laboratory materials.
- Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Maintain adequate stock of chemicals, reagents, glassware, consumables, and other laboratory supplies.
- Maintain laboratory stock registers, issue registers, equipment records, and other required documentation.
- Check laboratory equipment regularly and report defects or maintenance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, hygiene, and institutional SOPs.
- Assist in preparation of practical demonstrations and experiments.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the laboratory.




- Support internal inspections, audits, accreditation activities, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure appropriate use of PPE and follow laboratory safety protocols.
- Assist in maintaining records of chemicals and other controlled/sensitive laboratory materials as required.
- Perform any other laboratory-related duties assigned by the HOD, Principal, or authorized institute management.

Educational Qualification Diploma / B.Pharm in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field, as applicable to institutional requirements.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of pharmacy laboratory procedures and equipment.
- Knowledge of chemical and laboratory safety.
- Good record-keeping and inventory-management skills.
- Ability to work with students and faculty members.
- Attention to detail and valuable organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining laboratory records.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Experience 02 years of relevant laboratory experience. Freshers with appropriate qualifications may also be considered.
