Job Title: Lab Instructor – Civil Engineering

Department: School of Civil Engineering

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- M.Tech in Civil Engineering preferred for Lab Instructor positions.

Experience

- 1–5 years of relevant experience in Civil Engineering laboratories, testing, construction, or academic institutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist faculty in conducting laboratory practicals and demonstrations.
- Prepare laboratory equipment, materials, and instruments for experiments.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, inventory, stock registers, and records.
- Ensure laboratory safety, cleanliness, and compliance with institutional guidelines.
- Support student projects, research activities, and practical examinations.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, calibration, and procurement requirements.
- Maintain documentation required for NBA, NAAC, AICTE, and departmental audits.





Desired Skills

- Knowledge of Civil Engineering laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil Engineering software.
- Positive communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with faculty, students, and technical staff.

Technical Skills

- Knowledge of Civil Engineering laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
- Familiarity with IS Codes and standard testing methods.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, ETABS, Revit, GIS, or equivalent software (desirable).
- Ability to maintain laboratory documentation and records.
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills for laboratory equipment.
