Department: FET (faculty of Engineering and Technology) - Mechanical Engineering
Job Summary
Responsible for assisting faculty and students in conducting practical sessions, maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring safety, and supporting day-to-day operations of Mechanical Engineering laboratories and workshops.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage laboratory equipment, tools, instruments, and materials for practical sessions.
- Assist faculty and students during experiments, demonstrations, projects, and practical activities.
- Operate, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain laboratory records, inventory, equipment registers, and consumable stock.
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, PPE compliance, and proper functioning of laboratories.
- Support preventive maintenance, calibration, and servicing of equipment.
- Assist in departmental projects, workshops, inspections, and academic activities.
Required Laboratory Knowledge The candidate should have practical knowledge of:
- Engineering Thermodynamics Lab
- Strength of Materials Lab
- Material Science & Engineering Lab
- Fluid Mechanics Lab
- Kinematics & Dynamics of Machines Lab
- Machine Design Lab
- Manufacturing Practice Lab
- Heat Transfer Lab
- Engineering Workshop
- CAD/CAM Workshop
- Electric Vehicle (EV) Lab
- 3D Printing / Additive Manufacturing Lab
Qualification & Skills
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Practical knowledge of Mechanical Engineering tools, machines, instruments, and laboratory equipment.
- Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM, manufacturing processes, EV technology, and 3D printing.
- Valuable communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and safety awareness.
- Relevant laboratory/workshop experience will be an advantage.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
