We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Lab Technician to perform laboratory tests, handle samples, maintain laboratory equipment, and ensure accurate and timely reporting of results.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, receive, label, and process laboratory samples according to standard procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and examinations accurately.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and other laboratory materials as required.
- Record test results and maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
- Follow laboratory SOPs, safety guidelines, and quality control procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and disposal of samples and laboratory waste.
- Perform routine equipment calibration and quality checks.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the laboratory.
- Report any abnormal results, equipment issues, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and laboratory information.
Qualifications
- Diploma / B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT / B.Sc. MLT) or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant laboratory experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of laboratory procedures, sample handling, and safety practices.
- Basic computer knowledge and good documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
