Junior Procurement Engineer

INDSRO Defence & Aerospace Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Junior Procurement Engineer to support its procurement activities. The role involves sourcing engineering materials, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, and following up on purchase orders and deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

- Review purchase requisitions, technical specifications, engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to understand material requirements.
- Identify potential suppliers for mechanical, electrical, electronic and other engineering components.
- Request quotations from suppliers and assist in preparing quotation comparisons.
- Support price negotiations and discussions on payment terms and delivery schedules.
- Prepare purchase orders for approval and follow up with suppliers after they are issued.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality and Finance teams to clarify specifications, quantities and delivery requirements.




- Track supplier orders and follow up to help ensure materials are delivered on time.
- Assist with resolving delays, shortages, quality concerns and other supply issues.
- Coordinate with the Quality team on material inspections and required supplier documentation.
- Maintain organised records of supplier details, quotations, purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Support supplier evaluation and help identify cost-effective sourcing options.
- Follow company procurement procedures and ensure that required approvals and documentation are in place.

Candidate Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in procurement or purchase, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Engineering background.
- Basic understanding of supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, purchase orders and delivery follow-up.
- Valuable communication, coordination and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
