Role Description The Junior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai.

The Junior

Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, preparing vouchers, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. The role involves reconciling bank statements, supporting monthly and annual closing activities, and preparing basic financial reports for internal review.

Accountant will help ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and assist senior accounting staff with audits and documentation.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess foundational accounting skills, including ledger management, voucher preparation, and basic knowledge of financial statements.
- Candidates should possess skills in using accounting software and MS Office tools (especially Excel, Word, and email) for data entry, reporting, and documentation.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, vendors, and auditors.
- Relevant educational background such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
- Basic understanding of taxation, invoicing, and compliance with local financial regulations will be beneficial.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project setting.
- Prior internship or 0–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role will be an added advantage.
