Role Description The IoT role at BSA Crescent Institute of Science and Technology is a full-time on-site position based in Chengalpattu. The role involves designing, developing, and testing IoT solutions, including device connectivity, sensor integration, and data acquisition systems. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with faculty and technical teams, implementing prototypes, deploying IoT platforms, and monitoring performance and reliability.





The individual will document technical specifications, maintain IoT infrastructure, and support labs, projects, and student initiatives related to IoT. The role may also include contributing to research activities, assisting in workshops or training sessions, and ensuring adherence to institutional and industry standards.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in IoT concepts, embedded systems, and communication protocols (such as MQTT, HTTP, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
- Experience with microcontroller or single-board platforms (for example, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32) and sensor/actuator integration.
- Knowledge of programming languages commonly used in IoT development (such as C/C++, Python, or JavaScript) and basic scripting skills.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and IoT services (such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or similar tools) and basic data handling/visualization.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, security best practices for connected devices, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and support academic and research projects.
- Prior experience in academic, research, or industry IoT projects, internships, or lab work is a strong advantage.
